or you could get an iRiver and be able to get whatever you want onto and off of it without any additional software.

Seriously, to hell with M-audio. Their stuff is cheaply made, the guy that does drivers for them is overworked and can't really do much for updating. My firewire 410 (on top of being what should have been called the firewire 210) needed to be reinstalled at least once a week until I got rid of it. I...

I don't think RME stuff is priced all that high to begin with, when you consider that several blind listening tests by top engineers in Sweden and Germany placed the RME interfaces higher than Apogee, MOTU and everything else they were tested against. And Paul is right, the reason they cost more is ...

make sure you get the latest beta and the spm skin which is real cool.. Thanks for the plug, paul. And about the activators: is that all that the .dat files are? Just a text file telling it what to call the various forms of vinyl control? I installed all of them recently, in case anyone wants to us...

hehehehe... fair enough. I've always just sort of figured that when the Ms. Pinky SDK worked well for people developing for the PC as well (which it clearly does now, as djDecks proves) that we would FINALLY get a working version of the BinkyToy for PC. I really like the BinkyToy app... almost as mu...

DjDecks is an awsome application! Yes it is! It blows Traktor out of the water for flexibility and for the most part it's very stable now. I have used it live many times, the most recent time using Ms. Pinky wax to control it. It's constantly being improved and the forums on the djDecks site are th...

Here's an option if you really want to avoid a breakout box but not sacrifice audio quality and overall flexibility: http://www.rme-audio.com/english/hdsp/hdsp9632.htm I haven't used that exact system, but I do use an RME Hammerfall Multiface (which is a breakout box) and I LOVE it. I can't recommen...

Good news for PC users
Ms. Pinky wax is apparently working to control djDecks quite well now, so there is finally an alternative to the Maxi-Patch_AO. It seems the latest SDK fixed whtever was keeping it from working before! http://forum.djdecks.be/viewtopic.php?t=1336 I knew I'd be glad I kept my Ms. Pinky wax! This is g...
