I thought about how I could edit the patch to get cues working with absolute mode (before I found that the pinky external could not be easily edited) but looks like dlpinkstah has it all worked out already - Nice ! :) I dont think it is possible from the user end unless you handed off the file play...

For coloured waveforms i would like red and "hot" colours to be the low frequencies and the lower frequencies to to be "cold" colours - so pretty much from red to blue and everywhere in between. If your working on the UI waveform is you could make the minimum zoom level stretch the whole waveform ov...

You should really avoid adding bass to your mixes - its better to turn down the high and mid eq's and apply more gain/turn up the volume level more. Adding bass EQing causes phasing issues which should be avoided. play with your low/mid crossover point too anyway- that could be causing issues. anywa...

I think i have a simple solution for you :) Check out the snapshot~ object (comes packed in max already), its capable of sending out floating point values faster than the number object can. You can feed a input into the right input and it will return a value every x milliseconds. Or you tell it to r...

Copy paste this into a max patch and you will get the idea of how to intergrate it into the patch. Edit: i should not that this only works in relative mode and NOT in absolute mode. Relative mode is the future anyway, so stick with it :) { "boxes" : [ { "box" : { "maxclass" : "comment", "text" : "Cu...

You right, but then you lose the mixing capabilities of the mixer :( Also would you really even need to bother about different frequency sine waves ? If you just panned one channel hard left, and another hard right - then measure the volume level and converted that into a midi signal, that would do ...

Creating a drop cue function is reaaaaaaaaaaaly easy, you will kick yourself with how easy it is to make. Earlier in this thread we were talking about how to track the position of the song with a number between 0.00000 -> 1.00000 All you need to do is feed that into the right inlet of a message obje...

I would like to see an output of the pinky object to send a floating point output (or even better a signal out) of the current position of the track from 0.00000 -> 1.00000 so that way we can get more accuracte cue drops. Currently the song duration outputs at around every 40ms, so using this as a c...

Using downbeat info and BPM info i have worked out how to store i was able to make a phase meter which tells you how far your track is off from the closest beat. At the moment this only exists as a number ranging from -0.5 -> +0.5 but it should be very easy to turn this into a more visual object. It...

Seeings how i had complaints about how the cue system worked i have gone ahead and made my own system for storing cue point and loop point data. Now storage of loop data and cue data can be done without activating the said cue or loop. To keep in line with the current patch i have made 16 cue points...
