woops! I think I left out a couple of words in my question. meant to ask:
"I was wondering if Pinky is one of those VSTs that is also an AudioUnit?"
but in the mean time i have found out it is not. (well not in logic anyway)
thanks for your response kbooms1w!

Is the VST "AudioUnit" compatible on OSX?
Some vst plugins seem to be VST, RTAS and Audio Unit compatible. I was wondering is Pinky VST? And if not, any plans to port it to Audio Unit format?
Thanks!
Thanks!

You're mostly correct about everything. :) Ms.Pinky is: 1) A timecode vinyl technology that can be used on many soundcards, on windows and mac platforms. Ms. Pinky runs: 1) As a standalone app, for example, Maxi-Patch: http://www.mspinky.com/WreckedSystem_MaxiPatch.html 2) As a VST plugin (PinkyPlug...

U46DJ Control Panel Update for OSX
I don't know if it's been posted already, but that "thru" noise on the newer U46DJ's can now be muted in the new control panel app. released by ESI: http://www.esi-audiotechnik.com/download/ESI/U46DJ/U46DJ-Mac-v1_01.dmg this *really* would've helped a long time ago, but it's still nice to finally ha...

A little late reply, but anyway! re: splitting turntable output lines, I'm doing exactly using split rca cables. So the turntable is going to both mixer and soundcard, and the line outs on the sound card then go to the mixer line ins. Works really nice, means the soundcard doesn't need to be on for ...

I know this thread is very old, but I have the same splitter line/phone setup described above and it works reasonably well. I have all the grounds connected to the ground of the soundcard. There seems to be a slight loss in signal power, but not a significant loss, ms. pinky works fine (error metric...

I just received my new technics 1200 mk5's today after "upgrading" from numark tt200's (the-then model down from ttx1;s). I know what you mean about the drift on the numark, it was the first thing I noticed using the technics for the first time; i beat-matched two records, went to the bathroom, and ...

Hey n3n, naturally video scratching isn't as tactile or tangible as normal vinyl scratching. I tried the older version of this a while ago and got some nice results:

Re: The Audio-Thru Test
i got the same problem. my metric value is always in the range of 0.5 !! i've got an ortofon concorde and my records do sound really good in THRU mode. what could be the problem here? btw i use a u46dj. From what I've read (and experienced myself) the U46DJ phono inputs can often be too high from h...

You could definitely find a torrent with loads of scratch samples, but that's probably less-than-legal.
A better alternative would be beatport http://www.beatport.com/. AFAIK, they have a DJ tools section which would be perfect for what you want.
Hope that helps!
