Pinky VST is currently a 32-bit plugin. So you'll need to run Max 6 in 32-bit mode in order to load Pinky VST using vst~. To start Max 6 in 32-bit mode on OSX, select File --> Get Info in the finder on the Max 6 application. Then check the box that says "Open in 32 bit mode". If you absolutely must ...

You can do that by alternately enabling and then disabling vinyl control on one or more instances of Ms Pinky. When you disable vinyl control, the playback pitch locks into whatever the last pitch setting of the turntable happened to be. For this type of operation you should probably use relative mo...

64-bit Max/MSP external objects for OSX
New builds of Ms Pinky's external objects are now available for 64-bit versions of Max/MSP/Max-for-Live on OSX. These new externals only work for OSX 10.6 or later. The older builds of the externals are still provided in the archive for those who need to use older (32-bit) versions of Max/MSP/Max-fo...

This feature is currently only implemented in the VST plugin. The Max For Live patch that we currently distribute does not provide MIDI jog wheel support as-is. However, it should be fairly str8forward for Max For Live users to add this themselves given that M4L allows re-programming and customizati...

New mptcfs_sa~ object for Max 6.1, 32-bit, Windoze
As a first step in getting Ms Pinky ported to 64-bit land, we've updated the mptcfs_sa~ external object to make it compatible with Max 6.1, 32-bit, Windoze. As anyone who's tried to use the Ms Pinky external objects and patches with Max 6.1 on Windoze knows, there were lots of serious problems. This...

It is currently impossible for Ms Pinky to upgrade her Max external objects to be compatible with the strictly 64-bit versions of Max For Live. This is mostly because Cyclng-'74 has not released the 64-bit version of their SDK for 3d party external object developers to use. So for now, Ms Pinky rema...

Pinky VST 2.2.2: Improved MIDI jog wheel support
Pinky VST version 2.2.2 (for OSX and Windows) is ready for all registered users to download. The main new thing with this version is improved scratching performance with MIDI jog wheels. To get the best performance with a MIDI jog wheel like the Vestax Typhoon, try setting the audio I/O buffer size ...

Whew! What a relief. Glad to hear it's now working for you on Windows. The same basic procedure should apply as well for OSX... the names of the folders are pretty much the same just the locations on the hard drive will be different. And of course you realize that the actual external object files th...

I've now completed testing the currently available Ms Pinky externals with Max 6.0.8 on Windows 7 (Build 7601). Everything works as expected. Here's what I did: 1) Download and install a FULLY LICENSED copy of Max/MSP 6.0.8. My machine is running Windows7, Build 7601. It's a Dell XPS9100. Max 6.0.8 ...
