3 questions
Three questions: 1) Which audio converter are you using (model, manufacturer)? 2) In the "Audio Settings" window of Maxi-Patch, what happens when you click on "Audio Driver Setup"? It should bring up the control panel for your audio converter. 3) Have you tried re-installing the drivers for your aud...

I/O Vector Size = 2^N (64, 128, 256, 512, etc...)
Hi Mudo- First of all, what version of Maxi-Patch are you using? My first guess is that you may need to adjust the I/O Vector Size settings for your audio device. 1) Open Audio Settings. Select your audio device. What are the settings for "I/O Vector Size" and "Signal Vector Size"? In order for Maxi...

more MIDI control coming soon....
In the next release I'm going to try to include more MIDI controllability in general for everything. Can't promise exactly when this will happen but it is in the works.
And you could do it yourself in Max without too much trouble.

Video Output Settings
Also try different settings under "Video Output and Recording" from the "Ms Pinky & Me" pulldown menu. Specifically, you should try turning "no hardware acceleration" on vs. off to see what's best on your system. For some systems, it works best with "no hardware acceleration" ON, and with others it ...

Ms Pinky rocks Tiger!
Nowhere is Ms Pinky more at home than in OSX Tiger. Both Maxi-Patch and BinkyToy run great in OSX Tiger 10.4.2 and above. There have been a few hiccups with the drivers for various audio converters interacting with Tiger in not-so-great ways, but these issues are being resolved. Bottom line: D...

What version of Maxi-Patch?
What version of Maxi-Patch are you using when this happens?
I recently posted a new version (3.5.2) on the downloads page that is based on new versions of Max and Jitter so it should have fixed some problems.

Make sure "Audio Thru" is OFF
Could it be that you have the "Audio Thru" menu item checked in the audio file player region for the channel in question? Otherwise I can't see any way that the record signal can get through to your output unless you have it passing through in the analog realm somewhere. And you did make sure to mut...

Please describe your entire setup
OK we need to start from the most basic level: I need you to describe every component of your physical setup (turntables, preamps, audio card, mixer, etc) and how they're all connected to each other. Start with your turntables -- what are they connected to? Next -- what is the Maya 44 connected to a...

Turn down those Monitor Levels!
Sounds like you just need to turn down the monitor levels in the Maya 44 control panel. The signal path in the Maya's own internal mixer allows the inputs to flow str8 thru to the outputs unless you turn down the "Monitor Levels" for all channels. In Maxi-Patch_AO/AV open up Audio Settings and click...

M-Audio and Audiotrak both say yes.... but when???
M-Audio and Audiotrak both say "yes".... but when?????????? Hopefully soon or this opportunity will evaporate, I'm afraid  Everyone will just end up being absorbed by Korporate Kuntrol (the Borg)... you know who I mean. The voice of the Borg is very powerful, especially now. I haven't dared to ...

We need a high-quality, low-cost audio interface!!!
Looking to the future I think the next biggest obstacle to the success of independent DJ applications (like djDecks and MsPinky) which incorporate vinyl control is the present lack of high quality, low-cost audio interface with built-in phono preamps and very low latency response. Ideally the dream ...

Try the latest Max-Patch_AO/AV (version 3.5.2)
Hi Jost-
If you haven't already done so, please download the latest version (3.5.2) of Maxi-Patch_AO/AV. It may solve some of your problems.
I haven't tried the AU25 but I know several users are very happy with the Edirol FA-101.
peace, out-

Position is generally the integral of velocity over time
The Position should generally be equal to the integral of Velocity over time. This is pretty much true with the Ms Pinky vinyl position and velocity signals, though not absolutely true  Due to all the noise perturbations coming from the dirty analog vinyl signal, imperfections in the velocity m...
