The Ms Pinky objects (including mptcfs_sa~) definitely work with Max 6, at least for me. I've tested them quite thoroughly with Max 6 and OSX 10.7. I have not, however, tested them with Live 9. But I'm guessing if you can't get the Ms Pinky objects to work with your install of Max 6 it's likely beca...

Are you using a phono preamp before the input to your audio converter? The reason I'm asking is because if you don't use a phono preamp (with the inverse RIAA equalization curve) the signal from your turntable will be noticeably high-pass filtered and that can definitely result in the kind of drop-o...

When you run the standalone built Maxi-Patch_AO that you've created, you'll need to be sure that the file "Maxi-Patch-AO.xml" is in the same directory with the built application. You can get this .xml file from the download folder where you get the standalone Maxi-Patch_AO that we distribute. This ....

Yeah that's a little tricky. When you open the Maxi-Patch_AO in Max, it unfortunately has to block out the standard Max menu structure with its own menus. So before you can build the "standalone" application version, you have to go under the File pulldown and select "Max menus". This will restore th...

You haven't installed things correctly. Specifically, Max can't find the necessary extensions uiwaveform, uihmsf, and uidial360 which the patch uses. These extensions are included in the downloaded folder, but you have to copy them into the Max/MSP search path folders as explained in this thread: ht...

Hey Sorry for the delay-- the short answer is "yes" you can restrict the auto-loading of a clip to a given column in your live session. But you will have to do some customization of the patch to get it to do that. I think it should be quite straightforward, and you'll learn a bit about M4L as you do...

I haven't worked with syphon yet, but since support for syphon already exists in Max/MSP/Jitter, you could add it to Maxi-Patch yourself. We provide the editable patches to you, so I'm pretty sure you could just add the syphon objects to our patches.. For that you'd need the full version (with edit ...

When you play a file in mptcfs_sa~ using the Ms Pinky control vinyl, the pitch values are passed internally from the decoder directly to the file playback code. There's no way to modify those values before they're applied to file playback. But you could use another file player (like buffer~) which a...

When you say it plays "slower" than it should, how much slower is that? Are you by any chance using one of the 45 RPM HQ control vinyl? If so, then it's obviously going to play too slow if your turntable is set on 33-1/3 RPM. Another cause for slow playback could be having the wrong vinyl generation...

file_slot X
A bit about file_slot X... mptcfs_sa~ now plays up to 64 files at a time. Command "file_slot N". N is in the range {0 ... 63} and selects which slot you have control over at a given time. The default slot number is 0. If you never send "file_slot N" the object behaves exactly as it did before, loadi...
