in case anyone comes across this thread again, ESI added the 3/4 gain control in the newer (dodgy) UDJ46's (with serial no's beginning with ESJ060) providing you have the latest drivers. Unfortunately, it breaks the out-of-the-box usability with Mac's, and ESI have said they have no plans to fix tha...

This is a nice debate subject. I think you're both right; Recall that famous Robert Moog statement that music is always on the cutting edge of technology, whether it be wood or silicon. It is possible to let the computer do all your work for you, and then to sit back and watch the crowd like you sai...

So Dan, Ive confirmed at least that the file you posted is virus free (symantec's 8.11.2006 rev 19 virus definition), but I can't test it because I've got an ESJ-050. Anyone else?

Cheers for the confirmation! Good luck with the setup!

Re: so .. help?
For everyone else reading, the ESI drivers are the suck, so use the ASIO4ALL driver at http://www.asio4all.com/ I agree that the ESI driver support is terrible. However, I don't think that Asio4All is a replacement driver, you still need to have working ESI drivers first to leverage any usefulness ...

just to throw my 2 cents about the U46DJ into the ring; For the money, it's a good soundcard. It does exactly as it says on the tin, and works very well with Ms. Pinky. My one gripe is that the phono-preamps, even at their lowest levels, can still be a bit too loud, making recording vinyl difficult....

hello! yeah i got a windows aggregate soundcard working before to use Traktor. It worked well, but it seemed that the latency is based on the max latency of both soundcards, plus a tiny bit more for overhead. Sometimes this can be a bit too much for some applications, like ms pinky for example, but ...

Thanks for the update! :) I've no doubt that porting everything to UB is a mammoth task, particularly for anything low-level like audio. Not to mention the problems of unsupported IDE's / Dev centres. Keep up the great work, it's well appreciated! (Incidentally, I've come across a (cheeky) work-arou...

I've just been trying out the pinky VST plugin with Ableton Live, which is Great fun! There seems to be a problem that it needs a massive sound buffer to run, which ups the latency to at least 50ms. I'm not sure, but I was wondering if this is to do with either: - my version of ableton (5.0 I think)...

Hello! I'm new to this magical world of Pink! I've ordered the vinyl and am anxiously awaiting their delivery. In the mean time I've been downloading all the programs, and playing with them as much as I can without the vinyl. I'm running a MacbookPro and was just wondering if there are still plans f...
