Hobo, Actually you probably do have the files installed correctly. The problem is that mastahlee's awesome M4L patch (which I'm assuming is the one you're trying to use) was created using the old commands for the mptcfs_sa~ object. Over a year ago the commands expected by mptcfs_sa~ were changed. He...

Try sending "file_position_out 1" message to mptcfs_sa~. This will enable a mode in which the current playback position of the currently played audio file will be sent out instead of the position signal. This will loop properly when the file playback loops back to the start. Should probably solve yo...

Looks like you must have an outdated version of the patches. The commands to mptcfs_sa~ to set vinyl control were changed about a year ago. So the "absolute_mode_control" and "vinyl_control" have been replaced by the command "control_mode". The newest version of the M4L patch "MsPinky_M4L_AudioFX" w...

Another thing that could be causing skips in the sound is if you are using Ableton Live with many different clips playing simultaneously with Ms Pinky, where you are either using Ms Pinky in Ableton as a VST or Max For Live, or externally with the Maxi-Patch application. The cause of skips could be ...

Not sure which product would be the best. I guess try the least expensive first to see if that helps. Re: absolute vs. relative mode. I'd say stick with relative mode if you don't really need the absolute mode. The reason is that if your needle does skip in relative mode there won't be much of an in...

If you are using relative mode, and not using the position information of the vinyl at all, and you say this problem only occurs when you're playing live, then I suspect that the power supply in the live venue is somehow corrupted which could cause a momentary malfunction of your soundcard and/or co...

To get the software from us we ask that you purchase either the software download ($60.00 USD) or a set of vinyl + software, of which there are several flavours. If you purchased a set of vinyl without software, it really does mean NO SOFTWARE. Software costs a lot to develop in terms of time it tak...

Thanks for posting the screen shot. That is very helpful. No, you clearly haven't put everything in the right place. The picture shows that the Ms Pinky external objects called uidial360, uihmsf, and uiwaveform are still not in a place where Max can find them. In the downloaded folder "MaxMSP_OSX" w...

yea I got all of those; but do I put the contents of the maxi-patch folder into the max5/patches folder?? What do I do with MsPinky_MPTFCS.maxpat? Yes, put the maxi-patch folder into the max5/patches folder, and also put MsPinky_MPTCFS.maxpat there. Those are all patches, and you have to put patche...
