I've just received the IWS core as a gift (the best gift ever!) and haven't been able to find a clear guide to building systems for various performance tasks. For example, you've convined me that a tibook 550 and motu 828 will handle scratching and mixing of uncompressed tracks with the binky toy in os x, but what sort of hardware should I be rocking in order to flex full-speed with two mp3s, or with two fullscreen videos in the maxi-patch, or scratching two full screen videos and a bunch of midi-controlled effects with vidVox Grid Pro?
There's a lot of grey (or green) area between my current setup and a dual-G5 with radeon x800 graphics, so I'd love to get a better sense of what people have found to work well at various points along the complexity scale.
