Hi,
I am new here and about to get pinky pluggo.
I just want to know if it has the following functions using the new CD:
-Looping on the fly
-Storing cue Points
-Master Tempo functionality on the CD player
Can I use it in conjunction with Ableton Live 6?
Looping

Loop points are made on the CD player
When using Pinky Pluggo, or any Ms Pinky software, with the new CD control signal, you can do most things you would normally do with your CD deck:
0) Scratch a track using the CD deck's scratch wheel.
1) Set the pitch of playback of the track using the CD deck's pitch slider.
2) Create loops on the fly using the looping functions on your CD deck.
3) Create cue points using the cue point creation/recalling functions on your CD decks.
When you trigger the loop/cue points on your CD deck, the software follows what the CD deck is doing and applies that to the audio file you've loaded in Ms Pinky. However, if your CD deck has time-stretching features (to adjust the tempo without changing the pitch), you can't use those properly with the Ms Pinky CD control. Instead, use the "pitch lock" mode inside Ms Pinky.
Re: Ableton 6. Yes it works with Ableton 6. That's what I'm currently using.

Download and Install the FREE Pluggo Runtime version
To start with, download and install the FREE Pluggo Runtime, latest version, from
http://www.cycling74.com/downloads/pluggo
Once that's installed, you'll just download the Pinky Pluggo from the mspinky.com downloads page and install it wherever you store your other VST's.

Actually, start out with the Maxi-Patch_AO (Audio Only) app
I actually recommend that you start out by familiarizing yourself
with the Maxi-Patch_AO (Audio Only) app. By mastering this simple application, you will gain an understanding of the basics of setting up and using a Ms Pinky system. Furthermore, the audio file player modules in Maxi-Patch are almost indentical to the Pinky Pluggo VST plugin. So you'll find it very easy to use Pinky Pluggo after getting to know Maxi-Patch_AO.
