Our core vinyl tracking code (as contained in the SDK) has been successfully ported to Linux. Several users have created their own applications running under Linux that avail themselves of Ms Pinky vinyl tracking. I'll try to get one of them to agree to sharing their apps with other Linux users......

I'm also interested in using Ms Pinky vinyl control with M-Audio Conectiv under linux. What software do you recommend? Any tips? Thanks

Just an update. I have recently been looking into getting linux. If you get the Ardour multitrack audio software, it can host vsts (when you build it properly) and therefore pinky pluggo. As I am new to linux, I still don't understand what the wine development kit is but the instructions (besides that) seem extremely easy to get into.

I also just tried to run Maxi-patch AO in Wine for Linux with no success. I am trying to get Ardour to work but there are many, many libraries and stuff needed for a build, which is hindering me a little bit as a newbie, but I will let you know if there is any success and what the program is like if you haven't used it before.

I managed to get together MsPinky SDK and XWax software. So I was able to control XWax with MsPinky vinyl. But there was a problem with hight latency! I'll try it again, because I don't know if it was soundard buffers issue, or MsPinky SDK position decoding overhead... I'll let you know...

What is the sample buffer size that you're using? That will in large part determine latency. I would suggest using a buffer size setting of between 32 and 128 samples.

I will need some light on this...

Scott and community could you share links?

What about pure data porting (and open libraries... scott?)

Well reuploading the topic and in the line with my other one about max7 and the future...

How many of you will be interested in libpd? It seems possible to use the linux ms.p sdk to "encapsulate" the decoding library and make ms.p android/iOS patching (hosted by apps like mobmuplat) possible.

Anyone?
