It works, I'm not a novice with music software, but I was expecting a right battle to get this going smoothly but I prettymuch had it going first attempt!
It reall feels like vinyl, so much so that whenever I finish a track i keep taking the record off the deck on auto pilot.
The Latency is so minimal I cant decide wether its in my head or not!
Kit:
Pinky Stuff:
-----Hp nx7400 lappy
-----Windows Vista Business (I know, Bad Idea)
-----Presonus Firbox
-----Berhinger BEAT-800 (BPM counter, but it has two built in pre-amps)
-----ebay 8way Studio loom - RCA (phono) to 3.5mm mono Jack
Oldscool Stuff:
-----Vestax PDXa1 decks (A design classic)
-----Vestax PCV-003 Mixer
-----Stanton 500 cart and needles
Software tried so far is only Ableton Live with Pinky Pluggo.
I cant fault this stuff, especially when you consider My Needles are about seven years old and have probably tracked there way twice round the world and the interconnects are all cheap saterday market specials and the loom is three meters long and only 9 quid.
The only issue I have so far is with the pluggo, I'm not seeing a wave-form in the box when I load the tune, So I cant se my breakdowns comming, is this a known fault to anyone?
