jittering output using pinky_pluggo with ableton live

Post by burnhard » Thu Nov 30, 2006 2:20 am

hi,

I've got the problem, that the output jitters when playing mp3s with vinyl-control using pinky_pluggo and Ableton Live. Sounds like corrupt mp3s, but they are all ok :-)

Here is my setup:
- 1,5GHz 12" Powerbook with 1.25GB RAM running Mac OS X 10.4.8
- M-Audio Conectiv
- Ableton Live 5.2
- Channel settings are all right: left 1/2in 1/2out, right 3/4 in 3/4 out

Playing mp3s with Torq and Maxi-Patch works really fine without any problems :-)

Thanks for any suggestions

I've noticed some weird activity with my ms.pinky setup lately too. I mostly use the pinky pluggo in Ableton Live 5.2.1 for some scratch work - but recently I started mixing long sets of music with it and on both occasions after mixing about 30-40 minutes the quality of the audio was severly degraded. If I restarted Live everything was fine. Also, the main output of live sounds fine, but I am routing the tracks with pinky pluggo directly to the hardware outputs.

My setup:
Custom PC Asus A8V Motherboard + AMD X2 4400+ 2g Ram
Terratec EWS MIC8+ PCI Soundcard

Windows XP SP2

I'm really stoked to hear that pinky pluggo will be getting a facelift!!! :D :D :D
