Ms pinky on my set-up

"HI ALL"...I am a mixvibes DVS user[ I LOVE IT ] but I would like to do video using MS PINKY...My set-up is 2 denon 3000 and a DXM06...my lap-top is a new ASUS v6000 it is a p4 2.4...with 1024 ram..the sound card is a EDIROL FA-66 and the video card is a ATI RADION X700...Do you think it will work or do i up-grade to mixvibes pro 6 or PCDJ-VJ to do video

You can definitely use the Edirol FA-66 and the PC you have with Ms Pinky.

okay can the program work with the 0404soundcard,,or would i have to get the preamp's?

The E-Mu 0404 has only two analog inputs, and they are line-level inputs. So unless your turntable is one that can output at line-level, you'll need to boost the signal from your turntable before going into the E-Mu 0404, and to do that you'll need phono preamps. However, if your turntable can output at line-level, or digital (SPDIF), then you won't need any additional phono preamps.

ok thats cool,,i don't mind buying the pre-amps,,but how much is the cd's for the cdj's & can you copy them for emergency spares?

Sorry if it's confusing, but in order to get access to the CD control signal for scratching with CDJ's, you have to purchase (4) Ms Pinky records from the online store for $99 USD. Once you've purchased your (4) Ms Pinky records, we will then give you download access to the CDJ control signals and you can burn your own CD copies of the control signal for scratching. You can burn as many copies of the CD signal as you want (within reason
).
