Pointing at freshly recorded clips in ableton?

Post by trypset » Sun Jul 11, 2010 12:59 am

I would like to record a clip in ableton, and then be able to load that recording to my deck via Pinky VST. Is this possible?

In one word... Yes.

But, it is slightly more convoluted then I think your anticipating.

To use it with the Pinky VST... you would essentially have to record it in Ableton... export it.
and then load it from inside Pinky VST.

Or, if you wanted to do it the gangster way... and I am sure this is how you imagine it... check out mastahlee's video at around 2:47.

Here is his post here on how to do this:

I will say... it is a definite TIME investment to get Max4Live operating in conjunction with Ableton Live and this Ms.Pinky patch they they created.
It took me about 10 minutes of RTFM
another 10 of cussing
15 minutes to find/download the DEMO for M4L (30 days free use)
5 more minutes of cussing
then I had to properly set up ableton with it
i got up and going with one turntable relatively quick... considering this is bleeding edge technology

hope this helps grasshoppa
-peace.
