Pinky VST 2.2.2: Improved MIDI jog wheel support

Pinky VST version 2.2.2 (for OSX and Windows) is ready for all registered users to download. The main new thing with this version is improved scratching performance with MIDI jog wheels.

To get the best performance with a MIDI jog wheel like the Vestax Typhoon, try setting the audio I/O buffer size (latency) in your VST host to around 128 samples. Then adjust the "Jog Wheel Value Scale" slider to get the scratching sensitivity you want. If you have a higher resolution jog wheel like the Vestax VCI-300, you may want to choose a smaller buffer size setting, like 32 samples. Just mess around with various buffer size settings and "Jog Wheel Value Scale" settings to get the response you want.

Version 2.2.2 also contains a minor bug fix for the left-right reversal of stereo channels that used to happen with .wav files.

Does the MIDI input work w/ the Live-Max version of Ms Pinky?

This feature is currently only implemented in the VST plugin. The Max For Live patch that we currently distribute does not provide MIDI jog wheel support as-is. However, it should be fairly str8forward for Max For Live users to add this themselves given that M4L allows re-programming and customization. Hey-- that's what M4L is all about, right?
