unstable with eMagic 6/2 soundcard

Post by I/O » Mon Jul 07, 2008 7:43 pm

hi
nice to see the new max-free vst
but
it doesn t work in my system:
powerbook 1,33 1,25Gb emagic 6/2
i use 2 instances in 2 different tracks in Ableton and they freeze after a couple of minutes, it seems like that it freezes after i load the second instance
any idea?
Simone
ah yeah visually i like it better than the Pluggo version, we don t want fancy buttons we want reliable software ! ;)

Get a decent soundcard

First of all, the eMagic 6/2 is definitely not a recommended soundcard for Ms Pinky. That is probably a large part of your problem.

Second issue: What buffer size are you using in Ableton? Using a buffer size which is too small can cause glitches in the sound.

Third issue: Which version of OSX are you using? Anything below 10.4 is not going to work.
