Success with mobo integrated sound chip!

Post by hukka » Wed Jun 23, 2010 5:56 pm

I have a budget setup; a pair of Audio-Technica AT-LP120 decks and an Asus P6T SE motherboard with a Realtek ALC1200 integrated sound chip. I thought I'd report that this setup works excellent with the ASIO4All driver.

The key to making this work is to plug the decks into the two front audio jacks using an RCA->3.5mm converter cable. (These decks can output line-level signal so no phono converter is required.) The driver will then ask what I have plugged in; answer "Line In" to both. This chip can sample both stereo inputs simultaneously. The error rate is low enough and I have no glitches with this setup.

Hope this helps someone who doesn't want or have the budget to buy a separate sound card for use with MsPinky.

yeah nice one hukka its good to know that it will work with different types of system if its setup correctly. I'm looking for cheap alternatives to the interface problem aswell!
