The digi 01 is the problem

The question should be , why is the DIGI 01 incompatable with so much software? The answer is Digi design wants to force you to use Pro Tools., and as such , they do a poor job of developing drivers for those of us who don't want to.

I don't recommend the digi-001

Post by dlpinkstah » Sun Apr 03, 2005 9:19 pm

Recently I've had too many complaints from people trying to use MsPinky with the digi-001. I am hereby removing the Digi-001 from the list of recommended audio devices to use with MsPinky. Digidesign is deliberately making it difficult for any other software to talk to their audio devices.

That said, I have tested MsPinky successfully with the M-Box and with the Digi-002. Both of those seem to work fine with MsPinky. I don't actually have a Digi-001 to use for testing so I can't explain why it doesn't work well while the other Digidesign boxes seem to work fine.

For now I have to recommend that you get another audio converter to use with MsPinky. The Audiotrak Maya 44 USB is very inexpensive and works great!

peace, out-

I'm investing in a digi 002 rack in a couple weeks cuz i'm trying to learn pro tools but I also want something that I can experiment with mspinky with... anyone know if they're compatible... in other words, if my turntables will hook up to digi 002 alright?

thanks!

digi-002 should work OK with Ms Pinky

I've tested Ms Pinky with a digi-002 and it should work fine, at least under OSX. I'm not at all sure about Windoze.
