Hi, as you probably already read, I'm planning on buying a Ms. Pinky system and I still don't know what's the right soundcard for me.
I don't wanna spend a lot more than 100 euros (i know i gotta buy the preamps seperately). I have a Powerbook G4 12", I'm mixing HipHop, my cartridges are Shure M44-7. So ( and I promise, this is the last time i ask ):
Is the Maya44usb fine with Tiger and do I really recognize any delay?
Would be cool if someone could help me.
Tim

You can use the Maya, but the U46DJ is better
Hi Timmm-
You can use the Maya 44 USB with Ms Pinky under Tiger OSX on your PowerBook. It works just fine, and the latency (delay) is not a problem.

However, keep in mind that you will also need to buy phono preamps
to use with the Maya 44, UNLESS your turntables already have line-level outputs. The added cost of the phono preamps will therefore bring the overall price of Maya 44 + Phono Preamps almost up to the same price as the U46DJ. That is why I recommend the U46DJ instead of the Maya 44-- because it already has the built-in phono preamps INCLUDED.
