Hi there,

I'm interested to get the Ms. Pinky software, but I don't understand very well if I must to already have the MAX/ MSP or some other advanced software into my Ibook?

Or the Ms. Pinky runs independently?

And I got a Presonus Firebox to use it like interface, is it works fine with it?? I still need extra pre-amps??

I hope a quickly answer, coz I'm in NY right now, but I leaving the city soon and I wanna get it here

Thanks

You don't need Max/MSP

The Ms Pinky software applications (Maxi-Patch AO/AV and Binky Toy) do not require you to have Max/MSP installed on your machine. You can simply run the applications as they are, by themselves.

In order to use Ms Pinky's Pinky Pluggo plugin, you do need to download and install the FREE runtime version of Pluggo from cycling74.com.

Regarding the Presonus Firebox.. I've heard favorable things about it from a couple of Ms Pinky users. So yes, I think it's a good one.... and yes, you may need preamps... if your turnables don't put out a line-level signal. But as it states on another thread on this forum, you can use mic preamps:
