Don't get the whitelabels! They're great for regular vinyl, but they seem to mess with the stereo phasing a little bit, which totally confuses mspinky. When I first started using this app, I was using whitelabels, and basically couldn't get out of relative mode my error rates were so high. Tried out my Stanton groovemaster backups and everything was peachy. Our good friend dlp ran some tests on the timecode coming off the whitelabels, and deemed them quite bad for this application.
I'm now using m44-7s like everyone else, and couldn't be happier. I'd recommend them wholeheartedly (though they really do sound terrible on regular vinyl compared to the whitelabels).
Looking for cartridge help!
I have an old Shure DM103ME & Dual 1209 turntable . How do cartridges stand up to long period of unuse? I am reactivating with plans to convert some vynls . Out of use about ten years? Help from the team here would convince me . Anyone know if it was a good or better quality cartridge when new?
