Editing the Maxi-Patch?
How do I (or can I??) edit the Maxi-Patch in Max?

Yes you can. Open the Maxi-Patch in Max, then go under File menu and select "Max Menus". That will then bring up the standard Max menu bar where you can select the edit and patching modes.
Maxi-Patch is composed of several sub-patches which are contained in b-patchers and stored in separate patcher files. You can select the b-patcher objects and examine their properties to know which patcher file they correspond to.
