Opening a patcher auto opens MsPinky?

When I open a patcher I have made in Max, it auto opens the Maxi Patch AO automatically. How can I stop this?

Mac OSX 10.6.6
Max 5.1.8

yo, try right clicking the patch file - open with - then select "maxMSP5.app (default)" n it will just open it in max without opening the maxi patch (which is probably what is currently selected). i had this problem, this should rectify for all ur patch files i think.
