Actually there is no gen 6 vinyl. Well that's not entirely true. There are about 10 copies of a test pressing which we made as an experimental new format which didn't end up working as expected so we threw it out. Same with gen 7. So those options in the Pinky VST vinyl control pop-up menu should be removed. Gen 4 remains the latest and greatest version of Ms Pinky vinyl. Sorry for any confusion this has created

ah so i figured out what it is and i tried this with 2 different setups so i can confirm it on my laptop and desktop macs and I'm using a audio 6 from native instruments btw. i have the 45 rpm records and they won't work with the velocity and position selected with gen 4. now if i select torq vinyl i can have velocity and position but it almost sounds like its playing different. i dunno maybe its me. also if you select gen 4 and turn velocity and position off it works fine. i also tried this on the audio only app and the vst and max for live versions. and then i have a regular 33 rpm record and with gen 4 and velocity and position work great on it. :(

The 45 RPM HQ-180 heavy duty discs are encoded the same as Torq vinyl. So to use those, select "Torq vinyl". And obviously, you have to set your turntable to play at 45 RPM.
