position_wrap_mode not working!!!

Post by marleynoe » Fri Apr 10, 2015 9:20 pm

Hi,

It seems that position_wrap_mode message to the most recent version of mptcts_sa~ external for MacOS is not working.

No matter what the value for position_wrap_mode (0, 1, 2) using a Gen4 mspinky vinyl, a 25min audio file always starts at the beginning of either Side A or Side B.

Is there anything I'm missing? It makes the B side redundant with the A side. Or any other way I can control playback of a file longer than 12.5mins?

Help, pretty please!!

Cheers,
Marlon

Achh! You're right. OK, I uploaded a new version of mptcfs_sa~ for OSX that should fix this problem. If you now use "position_wrap_mode 0" it should allow the "B" side position stamps to go from 65536 ... 131071, which should give you the ability to cue a file beyond the length of just Side A. Unfortunately, once you send the message "position_wrap_mode 0" it will only take effect the NEXT time you open a file in the player. Not perfect, but for now it should work.

Thanks, much appreciated! Haven't tested extensively - but seems to work :)
