I'm just now getting around to integrating Ms. Pinky with my VJ application, and I'm having trouble getting the externals to work properly. I'm getting all kinds of errors when I load the patch, and sound isn't playing. The error list is below. I'm wondering if i just need to bite the bullet and upgrade to 4.5, or if I have other problems.

can you use the externals with 4.3?

new command formats for MPTCFS~
Ben,
The Ms Pinky externals should work fine with Max/MSP version 4.3.
But what is this patch you're loading that includes MPTCFS~?
The errors indicate that you're probably loading a patch that is sending commands to MPTCFS~ according to the new command format I started using early this year, however, you've apparently got a version of MPTCFS~ that doesn't understand these new commands. All you need to do is delete all the copies of MPTCFS~ object that you have lying around, and download a fresh copy of MPTCFS~ from the site (and of course copy the newly downloaded external to the right place...).
cheers,
DLP
