how to record video output

how to record video output

i have made a video and can scratch the positioning and stuff. Now i want to render the video i am scratching, i have the file path set, but after selecting capture video, i do not see the video file having been created. Any suggestions?

Ya... make sure your not using the GL_ patches.. they use the graphics accelerator in ur graphics card and not ur cpu.

In other words, choose from the first 4 video output options and ur recordings should work now.

however, I don't know how to record the video + the audio... any help.. ?

!Ay, there's the rub! Currently no audio + video is recorded, just video... :oops:

Yes-- to record video you must NOT use any "-GL" video mixing options.

But even when you can record video, it's only video. No audio. Yet.

Thanks for the confirmation, down low.

I think I may have rigged a technique to get audio synched with video, just requires a couple of extra steps.

I just have to come up with a way to develop a visual cue resembling a 2-pop in a motion picture. (or a clacker drop.. when we see the clacker drop we should hear the 'action' crack sound)


QUESTION:

Can you recommend your favorite CODEC for the record out process?
