Sounds like a great idea. I've only just recently bought Max/MSP and Max for Live though, so I'm not sure that I will be able to contribute anything other than features I would like to see implemented. Until I've managed to get my head around Max programming that is.

So maybe this time next year, but from my vicarious experience of Max thus far I have a feeling even next year is probably still not long enough to learn to implement the kind of features I would like to see.

Sounds like a great way to start learning though.

I will. My first idea was to investigate how to add MIDI out to control effect parameters via Ms Pinky. But from glancing at the threads started here already on the subject I may be setting my sights a little high with that one!

Perhaps a MIDI assignable Hampster Switch for my APC might be a bit more achievable at this stage.

OSC to MIDI is already available in Max/MSP, and also in M4L. Check all the help files for the "OpenSoundControl" object, for starters. It's very powerful, and flexible.
