Vinyl position sync with video

In the Maxi-Patch AV im having trouble scratching a video with sound. When it plays free the video and its sound run smooth and clear. When i do sync with vinyl position it becomes jerky and distorted when play is pressed, however if its synced with the vinyl position and it is stopped, the video runs smoothly in time to the vinyl and can be scratched cleanly, but with no sound.

In short, how can i achieve vinyl control of a video and its sound

PS The scratching works fine on just the audio part of the patch
