could i use the kewborad`s keys to control some parameters, the vinyl control on/off for each deck for example? I remeber this feature was able in a old maxipatch version but i think is not able now, isnt it?

Yes you can use a midi keyboard to assign different parameters to.

Check out the tabs at the top of Maxi-Patch:
File Player, vinyl/CD Control, MIDI in, etc.

Select Midi in and check that the Midi CC and Note enable boxes are selected (appears with X). The midi CC and channel numbers appear in the boxes and you can assign them to the different parameters below. Vinyl control on/off is on the left hand side. Hope this helps :D

I have an M-Audio Oxygen 8 and it works really well with Maxi-Patch.

Assign the rotary knobs to the filters and go nuts! :D

If you get Max/MSP, you can easily modify the "Maxi-Patch" patches to map computer keyboard keys to functions such as turning vinyl control On/Off.

oops I miss read. I think you can use something like this, I just did a quick google pc keys to midi and found this:

http://www.bome.com/products/mousekeyboard/downloads

or

http://www.ronimusic.com/freeware.htm

Other things you can look into is midi yoke, loopbe1. Maybe someone has used those applications to map their keyboards.

I hope that helps. I might give this a go myself, save me having to plug in the 'midi keyboard' all the time :D
