Save your old settings when updating to a new version!

If you want to save all the settings you have made in Maxi-Patch when you install a new version of Maxi-Patch, you can save the 3 configuration files called "maxi-patch.xml", "audio_folders", and "qt_folders".
OSX: To find these files, hold the "ctrl" key while selecting the application file in a finder window to bring up a special menu. In that menu select "show package contents". Go inside the "Contents-->MacOS" folders to find the configuration files. Copy them to a safe place. Download the new version of Maxi-Patch. Now go inside the new version using "show package contents" and copy in the 3 configuration files which you saved.
WinXP: The three configuration files are found in the same folder with the Maxi-Patch executable program file. Simply copy these 3 files to a safe location. Download the new version and copy the 3 files into the same folder where the new Maxi-Patch executable lives.
