AMPutate mode as torq

Post by djtostado » Tue Feb 17, 2009 6:01 pm

It would be very useful an AMPutate mode for maxipatch (as TORQ has) to use a slider or knob for enable one deck ctrl vynil and, in the same time, disable the other one instead of use two different mini notes for enable/disable each ctrl/vynl.
What do you think?

Actually there is a way you can do that now. Here is how:

1) Assign the same MIDI Note Number/Channel to the "Vinyl Control On/Off (note)" for both of the two audio decks.

2) Notice that as you press the note, the two decks both turn "Vinyl Control" On, and then Off. When both decks are turned on, with the mouse just turn one of the decks Vinyl Control OFF. Now the two decks are "out of phase" with each other-- like "Amputate Mode". Every time you press that MIDI note, the Vinyl Control is switched from one deck to the other. Voila...

Use Bome to map slider position like a on/off switch.
