crackling sound problem, and solution
Damn, you must have 1 posts before you can post URL's/ links.
The pinks are spinning happily for about two weeks now and I've tried several settings in the meantime, but still: cracks. They seem to appear random..
I use:
Two Akiyama Acura turntables;
Ortofon Pro S cartridges + needles;
Behringer pp 400 phono preamps;
A Focusrite Saffire LE soundcard;
Macbook 2.4 Ghz, c2d, 2 Gb RAM;
A bunch of cables;
A Full Pink and a Split Pink vinyl
I've set the i/o vector and signal vector size to 256, but that doesn't help, even bigger vector sizes don't...

Get the new build
Two things to try:
1) Download the very latest build of Maxi-Patch_AO/AV. I fixed a bug which could be causing those crackling sounds. Keeping the same version number for now (3.7.2), but the build is new.
2) Increase your "file re-cue threshold" setting. You have it set to "1.0" which is the lowest but that can cause the player to have to re-cue quite often, which could manifest as those cracks in the sound.
