Ms Pinky + Aggregate Device

hi everyone
i'm looking forward to gettin the Ms Pinky package soon and just have a few questions to clarify.
I have an M-Audio Firewire 410 interface and a PowerBook G4 1.67GHz, 1GB ram. I am intending to upgrade to a Motu Traveler soon, but would like to try Ms Pinky with the 410 + Built-in Audio as a Aggregate Device first.
I have just tried setting up the Aggregate Device in Audio Midi Setup, and in Ableton Live 5 i am able to receive 4 analog channels of audio and 4 outputs thru the 410. The only problem is that i cant seem to adjust the input level on the Built-in Audio.
Theoratically it should work with the Ms Pinky software too right? another problem with the 410 + Built-In Audio solution is that the latency seems really high. Given that the 410 isnt the best interface (my normal latency is abt 12 - 20ms) in Live 5 it says i have 30+ms of latency. that's crazy!
is there any other way of checking or calculating latency?
