hi, im building a looping patch in max, which is working fine however, when i use the fader to scratch the mspinky vinyl the sound skips and is not in relation to my hand movements. When i scratch the record without the fader it is fine record tracking is correct.

I think it has to be with the amplitude levels, a drop in them seems to mess up the scratch.

i use a 1.83 ghz intel core duo, 1gb ram, gen4 mspinky, vestax 07, technics, and edirol 66 soundcard.

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!!!

The reason you're experiencing this skipping problem is because the way you've wired things up, when you use your crossfader to make a cut you're actually interrupting the crucial control signal from your Ms Pinky vinyl. That's a big NO-NO, I'm afraid

Please reroute your signals thus:

Turntable outs ---> Phono preamp ins.
Phono preamp outs ---> Soundcard ins.
Soundcard outs ---> Mixer Line-level ins.

I think that once you stop cutting out the control signal you'll find that Ms Pinky is much happier, and you will be too...
