Midi controlled hotcues

Just been researching how to move forward as a VJ and was wondering if it was possible to setup multiple hot cues to be controlled via a midi controller (M-audio trigger finger) for a video/audio combination.

Heres an example (The latter half with charlie bit my finger is best)

So from what I can work out the left side plays a beat, then the right side plays a video with audio, set to relative mode (so you can jump back on the turntable and scratch), and the midi controller (in this case a lemur) triggers each hotcue position allowing you to remix video live as if it is a drum machine.

Possible??

It's certainly possible to add MIDI-controllable hot cues to the video mix in Maxi-Patch. You could get started on it immediately yourself if you edited the Maxi-Patch component patches using Max/MSP to make it do that.

Free? MSP? I don't think so  To get Max/MSP you'll need to talk to these guys: http://www.cycling74.com Are you eligible for student discount?

Thought so. Student discount, not anymore. Will have a talk to them. is there any chance hotcue could be added in the next version. Looking at the price for MSP and looking at my bank balance i'm not too hopeful.
