Description

To get started using the Ms Pinky software, we recommend Maxi-Patch_AO (Audio Only) version. In learning to use this simple application, you will master the basics of setting up and using Ms Pinky’s vinyl control system. Just read and follow all the instructions contained in the “Quick_Start.pdf” file that is found in the same folder with the Maxi-Patch_AO application that you download. After you’ve got Maxi-Patch_AO working, you will find it much easier to work with the Maxi-Patch_AV (audio + video) version, as well as the Pinky VST, and even BinkyToy.

The required physical setup for Ms Pinky is described here. Study that very carefully, especially the block diagram at the end of the slideshow.

The Software Bundle for Mac includes:

“Maxi-Patch” Audio-Only Application for OSX, Version 3.7.7 (last update 04/18/15): Updated for OSX 10.9 and 10.10.  .WAV and .AIFF file play fixes.

 “Maxi-Patch” Audio +Video Application for OSX, Version 3.7.7 (last update 04/18/15): Updated for OSX 10.9 and 10.10.  .WAV and .AIFF file play fixes.

“PinkyVST” Plugin for OSX, version 2.2.4 (last update 04/06/15): Compatible with 32- and 64-bit hosts.  New Audio Unit version.  Plays 32-bit and little-endian .AIF files.

Max/MSP Externals & Patches for OSX (last update 04/10/15):  Now plays 32-bit .WAV files, and little-endian .AIF files. “position_wrap_mode” switch fixed.

MsPinky’s Software Developer Kit (SDK)- Now includes a 64-bit version for Windows and OSX.

OSX Users: PLEASE DO NOT USE STUFFIT EXPANDER TO UNZIP THE ARCHIVES! Instead, please just use the built-in OSX unzip utility, BOMArchiveHelper.app. Find it in /System/Library/CoreServices/.

PinkyVST” Plugin for Windoze, version 2.2.3 (last update 04/07/15): New 64-bit version 2.2.3. Plays 32-bit .WAV and .AIFF files, and little-endian .AIF files.

Max/MSP Externals & Patches for Windows (last update 04/07/15): 32-bit and 64-bit. Now plays 32-bit .WAV files and little-endian .AIF files

MsPinky’s Software Developer Kit (SDK)- Now includes a 64-bit version for Windows and OSX.

NOTE: You must install QuickTime for Windows before using Max-Patch_AO or Max-Patch_AV! Please visit http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/ to get the latest version.
